Action Hamilton wins Nationals!
The Action Indoor Sports Hamilton Premier Mens Indoor Cricket team competed in the 2011 National Indoor Cricket Club Championships at Action Indoor Sports Hutt Valley and won. The final against hosts Action Valley began with the Hamilton team batting and scoring a slightly below par 70 runs. A successful bowling and fielding performance by the local boys saw the last partnership from Valley requiring 45 runs to win. This turned out to be too much under the pressure of a final with an end score of 70-49, crowning a new national champion, Action Indoor Sports Hamilton.
There was a standout performance from Oliver Henry, who at only 19 was playing for the first time at a national championship level and gave a man-of-the-match performance in the final. Riki Cowley was also named Most Valueable Player for the team throughout the tournament. The team wish to send a special thanks to Andrea Overwater and the team at Action Indoor Sports Hamilton for the amount of time and money they put into the team throughout the entire season.
