6 Aside Basics

  • Six players are on the court at any one time.
  • Three playing positions, Attack, Centre and Defence.
  • Attack players can move anywhere within their team's attacking half, including the goal centre.
  • Defence players can move anywhere within their team's defending half, including the goal centre.
  • Centre players can move anywhere within the entire court, with the exception of the goal circles at either end of the court.
  • Mixed teams must have a minimum of one and a maximum of three male players on the court at all times, and two male players may not occupy the same position.
  • A goal within the goal circle is one point.
  • A goal out-side of the goal circle is two points.

COMPETITION

COMPETITION FORMAT

A typical season consists of pre-season grading games, competition round games, and depending on how your team has faired in the round games, semi-finals and finals. All finals are held on the same day, and prizes are awarded to the winners and runners up in all grades.

 

PLAYING DAYS

Each team will play their games on their preferred playing day. By far the majority of each team's games will be scheduled on their preferred playing day, but there will be some games scheduled to be played on Sundays during each competition and all teams are expected to play all scheduled games.

 

Adult/Youth Competition - Monday to Friday


PLAYING TIMES

We ask that you be available for all of your scheduled games.

 

GAME FEES

All of our competitions are run on a pay as you play basis, with each team simply having to pay their team's match fee prior to the start of each scheduled game. Our current fees are as follows:

 

Action Prime Time = $60

(played between the hours of 5.30pm - 8.30pm)

Limited spaces available.

 

Action Evening Time = $54

(played between the hours of 5.30pm - 10.30pm)

Our competitions run all year round, and below is a schedule of the timings in which each of our competitions are played.

 

Summer League - November to March

Autumn League - March to July

Winter League - July to November
